About These Images

I've been friends with U for a very long time, he's a gritty, sarcastic character, who has always got a plan, a plot, a scheme, a dream, a play, a movie, something brewing. He's also legally blind.

One particularly grey, misty day we were standing behind the coffee shop where he worked at the time, discussing a movie which was brewing in his head. The cinematic quality of the entire thing was not lost on me, and I overlayed the images with words both from the conversation and from U's mouth. I am in love with the colors of this piece- the blue greys, the white, the brown, the grey, the green, and the soft light that clung to everything. So this is the story of a day- U and the his movie script in the alley behind the coffeeshop.
