At some point in Play Dead's career, we think that Rob and Pete moonlighted with a project called Mankind's Audio Development (M.A.D.)

Sunfeast / Craving

Criminal Damage Records CRI 12-121
Recorded at Blackwing Studios July 1984
Produced by M.A.D. and John Fryer
Engineered by John Fryer

According to Robert Brewer, Michelle Ebeling, from Portsmouth did the backing vocals.

No further information about M.A.D. is known.

MP3's of these songs are here.
MAD's promo sheet can be found here.   Thanks to Stefan Kopmann and Thorsten Esser for the scan!

After Pete left the band for India in early 1986, no one is certain where they went next. Supposedly some members continued on as The Beastmaster Generals, or possibly The Box Disciples.

About 6 months to a year after the breakup, Pete (and possibly Steve Green?) did some gigging with a band called Deluca Triangle.
(thanks to Andi for the pix!)

No information is known about any of these bands at this time. Please contact me if you know more!

Pete, who came back from India and changed his (stage) name to Pete Bell, then hooked up with Borris Pikula who formed a band called Huckleberry Finn.

Find out about this project here.

Pete then left this band in 1993, and has reportedly given up music altogether. [very sad to hear, Pete is, and always will be, one of my bass heroes.]
