BroodX, Good Times Good Times!

The big news on the bug scene in the Spring of 2005 was that BroodX, would be hatching and casuing quite a strir in the eastern states in the month of May. This would mean tasty eats for those inclined to feast on the delicacy that the 17year cicada was rumored to be. Swiftly to eBay I went, and purchased a crop of these fine critters to be delivered once they began sprouting out of their hibernation. Upon delivery, they proved much too cute to eat (although the cats did sample quite a few).
So instead, we had a ball playing with them in the yard, and releasing most of them into the wild.
