Dear Sirs:

I have the affability to direct me to you in name of the Inter-American Commission of Human rights (CIDH), in order to make reference to its request of measures you will prevent in Raul Javier Gatica please Baptist and others in México.En this opportunity I fulfill informing to them that in the day of the date, the CIDH went to the State by virtue of article 25 of their Regulation, in order to ask for the adoption of urgent measures in favor of Mr. Raul Javier Gatica Baptist. Concretely, the Commission asked for the Government of Mexico:

1. to adopt the measures necessary to guarantee the life and the personal integrity of Raul Javier Gatica Baptist;

2. to adopt the measures necessary to guarantee the exercise of its activity like defender of human rights; and

3. to arrange the measures to be adopted with the beneficiary and the petitioners.

Also, the presentation of information was asked for on the fulfillment with the measures you will prevent adopted, within the lapse of 15 days and the update this information in periodic form. The measures you will prevent will last of 6 months. Heard the observations of the parts, the CIDH will decide if it turns out originating to prolong them or levantarlas.Por another part, we are sending separately a request of information with respect to the situation of the other people mentioned by you in the same communication.
